The manuscript is finished and now it’s down to the final editing. Expected publication is by the end of the month. Although my fourth book will still contain that central romantic theme involving the stories protagonists, this will be my first novel using my extensive background in law enforcement and the criminal justice system to develop the plot.
For readers wanting more mystery, suspense and danger in a romance novel, this should satisfy all their needs.
Watch for future updates when the official launch date is finalized.
Thank you for your interest and continued support.
The Reading Bud, an international website hosted by Indian author and book reviewer, Heena Pardeshi, recently invited me to be a guest on her weekly Saturday morning podcast, Coffee Conversation with Author Heena. The podcast is highlights a number of international authors with books that Heena had reviewed previously. I was episode 10 in the series.
The complete podcast, which runs twenty-seven minutes can be heard in part or in its entirety by clinking on the link below and looking for: Ep.10: Coffee Conversations with Author Heena with Guest Author E.T. McNamara
With the Goodreads.com website listing two of their members from South Africa rating The Chippendale Letter as five stars-“it was amazing” and four stars-“I really liked it,” the book has now officially been sold or read in every continent with the exception of Antarctica.
Recent Amazon five star reviews from the United Kingdom and a five star rating from New Zealand continue to add to the books popularity in overseas markets where it has seen strong sales of the Kindle e-book version. Currently, the top five international markets are Canada, The United Kingdom, Australia, Germany and India.
In other International news, I was recently invited to be on a podcast featuring International authors hosted by The Reading Bud, a literary website and blog located in Pune, one of India’s largest cities. The segment will be aired sometime in November.
I would like to thank those readers who have enjoyed all three of my novels and I hope you will enjoy The Witness Affair when it is released for publication in late 2022 or early 2023.
During the past several days, The Chippendale Letter was on two of Amazon’s best sellers list.
On August 27 and August 28, 2022, The Chippendale Letter spent two days on Amazon’s top 100 Kindle List among all genres, finishing at #54 and reaching as high as #37 intraday.
And for the past four days, August 27-30, The Chippendale Letter has been continuously on Amazon’s top 100 Kindle List of romance novels. In this category, the novel has ranked as high as #24, and at the time of this posting is currently #94.
Amazon top 100 rankings, especially for Kindle e-books, change rapidly and are updated every 30 minutes, so having this status is fleeting. But I thank all of those who have read the book and I am grateful for your support. Perhaps later this year, the book will once again make these lists.
I was fortunate to be featured in the most recent edition of Review Tales Magazine, a book magazine for independent authors. The link below is for the online edition of the magazine. My interview begins on page six.
Fate’s final destiny is a military romance story. The story begins on a Pacific battlefield in 1944 during World War II but really goes back to 1930 when Cindy and Michael meet. Michael Johnson reminisces his time growing up in Oklahoma Panhandle and everything that happened with his childhood sweetheart as he lays wounded on the ground.
The friendship between Cindy and Michael is solid and is beautiful to read. They are separated when Cindy’s mother decides to up and leave for California. As fate brings them back together, you get to read and enjoy how they overcome obstacles in order to prove their love for one another.
The historical romance also provides a steady glimpse into the Great Depression and the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. I found the story enjoyable to read. The literature and narrative were smooth and well written.
My third novel is now available in e-book, paperback and hardcover editions. The book can be purchased on Amazon. It is also available free to download to subscribers of Kindle Unlimited.
Although the announcement was not originally planned to occur on Memorial Day, I find it appropriate since two of the main characters have military ties. Thanks to all who have served and especially to those that made the supreme sacrifice who we remember on this day.
If you click on The Chippendale Letter from the main menu, it will automatically bring you to the Amazon website.
Thank you all for your support and I hope you enjoy reading The Chippendale Letter.
